On to the blog post…

I’m trying to drop a few pounds that writing (meaning, sitting on my ass too much) has packed on my body. I already go to the gym four or five times per week and really don’t eat that much anyway so I was trying to figure out what else I could do. Upping my time at the gym would probably help but I have other stuff to do, dammit.

After thinking about it for a while, I looked to my Sempire demons for inspiration. Sempires only receive nourishment from fruit and, um, semen, but I’m only talking about the fruit part. The other would be way TMI! Yikes!

I’ve started replacing at least one meal a day (sometimes two) with a fruit smoothie. No clue yet if it’s going to get me back in my skinny jeans but my fingers and toes are crossed. At the very least, it’s a great and delicious way to get all the beneficial vitamins and nutrients fruit provides. Did that last sentence sound like a PSA for fruit? Yeah, it kinda did.

Update: One week later… Well, in one week’s time, I only lost two pounds and then I drank beer on the weekend and gained back one of the two lost. But, two pounds lost is better than zero so I think I’ll continue doing this for a while. I just need to stay away from that weekend beer!

…With several steamy to downright scorching scenes, clever dialogue, humor and the potential for a happy ever after, this was a really fun and clever read. Dex has created a new sexual demon, and made them lovable, if not a bit outrageous in their attitudes and thinking. The desires and emotions of the characters were easy to relate to as the characters were well-defined and voiced, a nice addition to this novella.
