Her newfound companion looked over at her. “Sounds like someone could use some Christmas cheer.”

Jordan glanced at him and then back at the crowd. Maybe she was a little bitter. Sometimes she couldn’t help it. Sometimes she could only see the negative. She didn’t want to be bitter tonight though, not with this beautiful man beside her. “You’re right,” she said. “I could totally use some of that right now.”

“I think I have just the thing.” He reached into the bag at his feet and pulled out a bottle of very nice Irish whiskey. “This was supposed to be a present,” he said, holding it up so she could admire it along with him. “But it seems we have an emergency case of lack of Christmas cheer on our hands here and something must be done about that posthaste.”
