Insanity Week Three – My Knees Are Killing Me
The thing about the Insanity workout is that it requires you to jump around like a lunatic over and over again. Sadly, my knees do not like this activity all that much. In fact, they dislike it so much I can barely bend them at all without experiencing screaming pain. This makes going up stairs and other related important activates rather difficult. Still, I don’t want to give up or stop doing it. For some twisted reason, I am actually enjoying myself.
But the old knees do need a bit of a break. I think I am going to do the “Cardio Recovery” and ab workouts this week because they are zero impact exercises and then next week, start all over again from Week One. I think this will help me build some muscle strength and flexibility and give my knees a good break. That way I have a better foundation to work with.
So that’s the plan. It sounds good on paper. We’ll see how it goes. I do hope it works though cause I’m way too stubborn to give up now.
Congrats on sticking to it. It sounds crazy but in the end it will be worth it.
I’m already feeling results – I mean besides the knees lol! It’s been a very positive thing.
Best of luck, my dear. I’m glad your masochistic tendencies are working in your favor. 😉
Also, holy shit that’s a great pic.
HA! You know another friend of mine said the exact same thing to me last night. I never thought of myself as a masochistic before, but I guess I was wrong.
Yep, my knees is why I had to switch to the Brazil Butt Lift. I still have days my knees hurt but going upstairs is easier now. I’m going to start over on week one as soon as I drop 20-30 pounds to give my poor knees less to carry.
I need to build up core strength. Even one day of not bouncing makes my knees feel better so I am confident that after of week of no bouncing I will be ready to bounce again come next Tuesday!
I’m numbstruck. Knowing you all these years & words can’t describe how it makes me feel to know you cook AND work out. Kudos to you!
Oh no, I don’t cook. Not in this lifetime. And this Insanity thing – well it’s insane. Its really more an exercise of my will rather than an actual workout.
