Six Sentence Sunday

Here are six sentences from my current WIP. Best friends Dean and Kat are talking about relationships.
“Guys are for more than just sex, you know.”
“Are they?” Kat asked, her eyes wide with feigned innocence. “I can’t image what else I would do with one.”
“Oh, I don’t know, we can be handy to have around, we can lift heavy things, get the tops off most jarred products, kill spiders.” He was rapidly running out of examples and he tried to think of things his dad did that made his mother happy. “Yard work.”

Glug, glug…were there six sentences? I was busy staring at the man’s…never mind. Loved the really cute dialog exchange, which I did read first before noticing the man’s…never mind.
Some of ’em are exceptionally good at child wrangling. (Always helpful when you’re trying to write.) Fun six!

Fantastic humor in this snippet, Lisa! Yes, occasional yard work is a spiff, definitely. I love how he’s at such a loss for words! Of course it’s because he doesn’t want to name the real reason he wants to be there! 😉
