Heroine Inspiring Women
As a regular visitor to Lisa’s blog, I know how it is usually graced with hot men. And I enjoy visiting as a result. But, since my recent release, Unknown Futures, is a lesbian romance, I thought I’d switch things up a bit. Today I’m going to bring you five hot women (as decided by my husband and I) who may (or may not) provide inspiration for heroines.
One: Angelina Jolie – She kicks butt in movies such as Mr. & Mrs. Smith and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.
Two: Halle Berry – Storm in the X-Men series, Catwoman, and more
Three: Stana Katic – Best known as Kate Beckett on Castle
Four: Angie Harmon – From Baywatch to Rizzoli & Isles
Five: Julianne Hough – Dancer and actress
Now you tell me, who inspires your heroines?
Unknown Futures Blurb
Attacked as a young adult, Jewel is left scarred and alone. She applies to the 1Night Stand service, believing no one can see past her appearance to love her. But she doesn’t expect to be sent to a space station where her date could be any number of unusual alien species.
Flavia left everything behind to be one of five humans working for the Space Service space station. Extremely homesick, she is excited to learn she will be a guide to a woman from Earth visiting the station for a couple days. She is immediately drawn to the petite woman, seeing past her scars to her true inner beauty, stirring unforeseen desires.
Unfortunately, Jewel is there for a date which Flavia hasn’t been told about. Can she contain her lust and simply show her a good time? Or will she let her desire lead them into an unknown future?

Thank you so much for having me here today, Lisa! 🙂
It is always a pleasure Jessica!
Great post, Jessica! I don’t seem to have female muses in the way that I do male ones, but the angel Anna from Supernatural has appeared in a couple of my stories… 😉
Thanks Lucy! I’m the same way. in that I tend to have many more male muses. One I forgot to mention here though is Erica Durance. She played Lois Lane in Smallville and is the muse for a couple of the minor characters in my Mark of the Stars series.
Great inspirations. I love all those women and they certainly are great inspirations for characters.
Thank you, Emily! 🙂
Jessica, great choices. I love the kickass femaie musicians like Bonnie Raitt, The Pretenders’ Chrissie Hynde, and jazz musician Norah Jones.
