Six Sentence Sunday
Here are the opening sentences of the Sky Pirate story I work on intermittently.
Most of the problem I have with this story is that there is a super-fine line between information dumping and world building and I just haven’t found the proper shoes to walk it yet. Still, I like what I have, so hopefully it’ll work out.
Was it worth it? Daric asked himself again as the airship he was trying to pilot shuddered around him and coughed out black, pungent smoke. Was it really worth it?
And though he had been very nearly captured, shot at, and now probably destined to crash and die horribly in the remote forest below, he decided that yes, it had been worth it. Totally and completely worth it.
Be sure to stop by the OFFICIAL SITE and check out all of this week’s enticing sentences!
